MORGANTOWN – A Star City woman is seeking damages from a spa over allegations its failure to perform a hair treatment in a safe manner caused severe burns to her scalp.
Kelly Ann Thomas filed a complaint in Monongalia Circuit Court against Tuscan Sun Spa and Salon LLC alleging negligence.
The suit states that the plaintiff was a customer of the defendant on April 26, 2018, at its Star City location for hair treatment. The suit states the plaintiff was given a Balayage chemical hair treatment, but the defendant failed to carry out the treatment in a safe manner, resulting in second and third-degree burns to her posterior scalp.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Kelly R. Reed of the Law Offices of Kelly R. Reed in Morgantown.
