Krispy Kreme neighbor claims its building has been struck by several negligent drivers

CHARLESTON — A company is suing Krispy Kreme, alleging its adjacent building has been struck by several negligent drivers.

Gold Touch Holdings Inc. filed a complaint in Kanawha Circuit Court against Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corp.

The suit states that the plaintiff's building at 4828 McClung St. has been repeatedly struck several times by the defendant's drivers, resulting in at least $12,000 in property damages.

The defendant is accused of negligence and reckless driving.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Gerald Titus III of Spilman Thomas & Battle PLLC in Charleston.

The case has been assigned to Judge Carrie Webster.
