CHARLESTON — A woman is suing her former employer, alleging she was terminated because she was pregnant.

Wanda Rena McCormick filed a complaint in Kanawha Circuit Court against West Virginia Municipal League Inc. and Travis Blosser.

The suit claims the plaintiff was employed by the defendant through Jan. 11, 2019, when she was terminated from her position because she was pregnant. The plaintiff was told that her termination was for poor performance, but she alleges she had only received praise in the past for her work.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Robert Kuenzel of Kuenzel Law in Chapmanville.

The case has been assigned to Judge Charles King.
