Woman sues Mountaineer Casino Racetrack & Resort after employee allegedly struck her with door

NEW CUMBERLAND – A patron of the Mountaineer Casino Racetrack & Resort alleges she was injured when an employee struck her with a door and caused her to fall.

Koula Tsaknis filed a complaint in Hancock Circuit Court against Mountaineer Park Inc., doing business as Mountaineer Casino Racetrack & Resort, alleging negligence.

The suit states that the plaintiff was at the defendant's facility on March 31, 2017, and was injured when an employee of the defendant opened a door that struck the plaintiff. The plaintiff alleges the collision with the door caused her to collide with another person and then fall.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees, court costs and a trial by jury. The plaintiff is represented by Donald J. Tennant Jr. of Tennant Law Offices in Wheeling.

The case has been assigned to Judge Michael Olejasz.
