LOGAN — A company is suing a corporation that hired it to perform services, alleging it was never paid.
Kanawha Scales & Systems Inc., filed a complaint March 26 in Logan County Circuit Court against Red Fox Coal LLC, Bluestone Coal Corp., and Bluestone Industries Inc.
The suit states the plaintiff was retained by the defendant to perform services on its property in 2018. The suit states the defendant has breached the agreement by failing to pay the plaintiff for the work they completed which totals $8,279.
The defendant is accused of unjust enrichment.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Steven Thomas of Kay Casto & Chaney PLLC in Charleston.
The case has been assigned to Judge Joshua Butcher.
