NELSON MULLINS: Women Attorneys and Staff in Huntington Build Habitat for Humanity House

245

Nelson Mullins issued the following announcement on May 10.

A group of women attorneys and staff members in Nelson Mullins' Huntington office joined with other volunteers to build a house during Habitat for Humanity's Women Build Week. The house, which many attorneys and staff pass on their commute to the Firm's Huntington office, will become a home for a mother and daughter.

"As we drive by it on our way into downtown Huntington, which is where our office is located, it gives us a sense of pride and a good feeling to know that we helped her achieve some stability in her life," Huntington partner Kendra Huff told WOWK 13 News. "We do a lot of pro bono work, and pro bono is really at the core of what we do as litigation attorneys, and this is just one way that we like to give back to the community."

National Women Build Week, from May 7 to 11, centers women as advocates, volunteers, and builders in Habitat for Humanity's effort to provide strength, stability, and independence through housing. Nine attorneys and staff participated in Huntington's Women Build Week event.
