Elite Property & Development alleged to owe more than $24,000 on loan

BECKLEY – A bank alleges a Raleigh County business owes more than $20,000 on a loan.

Summit Community Bank filed a complaint in Raleigh Circuit Court against Elite Property & Development LLC and Michael D. Laxton II alleging failure to pay.

The suit states that Elite Property & Development was the borrower of a promissory note in the balance of $20,000 on Dec. 17, 2015, and the loan was guaranteed by Laxton. The plaintiff alleges the defendants have defaulted on the loan and owe $24,519.42.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by A David Abrams Jr. of Abrams & Byron in Beckley.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Darl W. Poling.
