Woman alleges she was injured by door at Winfield salon when it suddenly opened and struck her

WINFIELD – A Putnam County woman alleges she was injured by a door while walking past a Winfield business.

Debra May filed a complaint in Putnam Circuit Court against CV Management LLC and Ashley Kratz-Edwards, both doing business as Ashley's Salon; Ashley Kratz Hairstyling and Hair By Ashley alleging negligence. 

The suit states that the plaintiff was walking past the defendant's salon on Winfield Road on May 1, 2017, when the door suddenly opened and struck her right side. She alleges the force of the door caused her to hit a parked vehicle.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Michael L. Myers of Myers and Perfater in Charleston.

The case has been assigned to Judge Joseph Reeder.
