Woman says she was fired by RALS ZV Charleston for cooperating with Division of Labor investigation

CHARLESTON – A woman alleges she was terminated by her employers for cooperating with an investigation with a state agency regarding alleged wage and hour law violations.

Kari A. Ruby filed a complaint in Kanawha Circuit Court against RALS ZV Charleston and Pankaj Seth alleging wrongful discharge.

The suit states that the plaintiff was employed by the defendants beginning on Jan. 3, 2018. The plaintiff alleges she was wrongfully terminated on Feb. 6 in retaliation for cooperating with the West Virginia Division of Labor regarding alleged illegal activity that had been carried out by the defendants.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Scott H. Kaminski of Kaminski Law PLLC in Charleston.

The case has been assigned to Judge Louis Bloom.
