Estate administrator files wrongful death suit against Trinity Health Care Services of Mingo

WILLIAMSON – An estate administrator alleges a Mingo County long-term health care facility failed to provide proper care to a former resident.

Robert L. Chaney, as administrator of the estate of Jerry L. Ratliff, deceased, filed a complaint in Mingo Circuit Court against Trinity Health Care Services, doing business as Trinity Health Care Services of Mingo Inc., and others alleging negligence, wrongful death and other counts.

The suit states that Ratliff, was a resident at the defendants' facility for a period of time ending on April 11, 2018, when he died. The plaintiff alleges the defendants were negligent in Ratliff's care, leading to his death. He alleges the defendants failed to provide qualified and trained nursing personnel and failed to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Ryan J. Duty of Wilkes & McHugh P.A. in Pittsburgh.
