Snowshoe Mountain guest files suit against another skier over collision that caused injury

MARLINTON – A Virginia man alleges he was injured while skiing at Snowshoe Mountain when he was struck by another skier.

Harte Whittle filed a complaint in Pocahontas Circuit Court against Evgeny Sidorchuk alleging negligence.

The suit states that the plaintiff was skiing at Snowshow Mountain on March 3, 2018, and the defendant was also skiing there. The plaintiff alleges the defendant was negligent and failed to ski in a manner that allowed him to control himself, causing in to crash into the plaintiff. The plaintiff alleges he was injured in the incident.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by R. Brandon Johnson of Stroebel & Johnson PLLC in Lewisburg.

The case has been assigned to Judge Jennifer Dent.
