HUNTINGTON – A Scott Depot woman alleges she was injured at a Barboursville department store because of a mat in front of the exit.
Carolyn Samples filed a complaint in Cabell Circuit Court against J.C. Penney Corp. Inc. alleging negligence.
The suit states that the plaintiff was a guest at the JCPenney at the Huntington Mall in Barboursville on May 11, 2017, and tripped and fell because of a mat in front of the exit doors. She alleges she was injured in the fall.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Kevin P. Davis in Charleston.
The case has been assigned to Judge Gregory Howard Jr.
