Medical malpractice 01

CHARLESTON – A patient of a Dunbar nursing home facility blames his right and left below-knee amputations on the allegedly negligent care he received there.

Michael R. Good filed a complaint in Kanawha Circuit Court against Sunbridge Dunbar Health Care LLC, doing business as Dunbar Center, and Genesis Healthcare LLC alleging negligence.

The suit states that the plaintiff was a resident of the defendants' nursing facility beginning in May 2017. He alleges the defendants failed to provide him with the care that he was owed and failed to prevent skin impairments and amputations.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to provide health care services in compliance with the law and failed to provide him with adequate supervision.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Jeff D. Stewart, Andrew L. Paternostro and Andrew Stonestreet of Stewart Bell PLLC in Charleston.

The case has been assigned to Judge Joanna Tabit.
