Patron claims she was caused to slip and fall on convenience store's wet restroom floor

NEW CUMBERLAND — A woman is suing a convenience store owner following an alleged slip and fall.

Karen M. Koepfinger filed a complaint in Hancock Circuit Court against Nilu Enterprise Inc. and John Does 1-10.

The suit states the plaintiff was a guest at341 Penco Road on May 29, 2017, when the incident occurred. The plaintiff was in the defendant's convenience store when she alleges she was caused to slip and fall when she came into contact with wet floor in the women's restroom. The plaintiff fell and sustained serious injuries.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Steven Recht of Recht Law Offices in Weirton.

The case has been assigned to Judge David Sims.
