Lawsuit attributes fatal motorcycle accident in Princeton to unsafe grade of road

PRINCETON — A man is suing a city and a paving company, alleging that a relative was cause death due to an unsafe grade of a road.

Lawrence Heath, as administrator of the estate of Terry Heath, filed a complaint in Mercer Circuit Court against the City of Princeton and Southern West Virginia Paving Inc.

The suit states Terry Heath was operating a 2006 Honda motorcycle on Park Avenue in Princeton when he was caused injury because of the grade of the pavement near the intersection of Park Avenue and Reynolds Avenue when he lost control. The plaintiff suffered numerous injuries and was taken to Princeton Community Hospital where he died as a result of injuries.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Eric Buckner of Katz, Kantor, Stonestreet & Buckner in Princeton.

The case has been assigned to Judge William Sadler.
