Employee claims she was sexually harassed at Gestamp

CHARLESTON — A woman is suing her employer, alleging she was exposed to sexual harassment in the workplace.

Diana D. Williams filed a complaint in Kanawha Circuit Court against Gestamp West Virginia LLC, Scott Hughes and Richard Beckner.

The suit states the plaintiff was employed by the defendant on Jan. 3, 2014. During her employment, the plaintiff allegedly was repeatedly exposed to sexual harassment by Beckner. The plaintiff reports she complained about the treatment to her supervisors, but there was no action taken to make the defendant stop.

The defendant is accused of sexual discrimination, retaliatory discipline, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Michael Del Guidice of Ciccarello, Del Guidice & Lafon in Charleston.

The case has been assigned to Judge Joanna Tabit.
