Gibson Construction claims it is owed over $14,000 on finished project

CHARLESTON — A construction company is suing a client who has allegedly failed to pay.

Gibson Construction Co. LLC filed a complaint in Kanawha Circuit Court against E&A Properties LC, Erica Lord, The Ohio Valley Bank Co., and Justin Pritt.

The suit states the defendant contracted the plaintiff to renovate the property at 339 Sixth Ave. in South Charleston. The plaintiff alleges it has fulfilled its obligations but the defendant has failed to pay for the balance owed of $14,554.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract, unjust enrichment.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Eric Embree of Tyree, Embree & Associates in Hurricane.

The case has been assigned to Judge Tera Salango.
