Driver seeks damages over rear-end collision in Huntington

HUNTINGTON – An Ohio man alleges he was injured in a rear-end collision in Huntington and is seeking damages from the driver.

Brett W. Cline filed a complaint June 3 in Cabell Circuit Court against Amos Black, Bennie Black and Bennie Black, doing business as Black's Refrigeration and/or Black's Heating and Cooling, alleging negligence.

The suit states that the plaintiff was driving a 1999 Ford F-150 on July 24, 2017, on Third Avenue in Huntington and was stopped at a red light when Amos Black negligently struck the rear of the plaintiff's truck. The suit states the vehicle Amos Black was driving was owned by Bennie Black.

The plaintiff alleges he sustained severe injuries as a result of the collision.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Robert D. Cline Jr., Robert A. Campbell and Jennifer D. Roush of Farmer, Cline & Campbell PLLC in Charleston.

The case has been assigned to Judge Alfred Ferguson.
