Mechanic alleges Aero-Smith, Sylvanus Group failed to pay him

BECKLEY – Two companies and individuals named in a breach of contract suit have filed to remove the case to federal court.

Charles A. Trammel filed a complaint in Greenbrier County Circuit Court against The Sylvanus Group LLC, Aero-Smith Inc., George Smith, Robert Tapp and Sean Marshall. Sylvanus Group filed a notice of removal in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia on May 30.

The plaintiff's original complaint states that he was employed by the defendants as an aviation mechanic and was not paid for more than two months. He alleged violation of the Wage Payment and Collection Act.

Sylvanus Group is represented by Rachel Hanna of the Law Office of Rachel Hanna in Frankford. Trammel is represented by Paul Stroebel and R. Brandon Johnson of Strobel & Johnson in Charleston and Lewisburg.
