Hampton Inns Management alleged to have wrongfully terminated black employee

MORGANTOWN – A black man alleges his race played a factor in his wrongful termination from a Morgantown hotel.

Edward Jackson filed a complaint in Monongalia Circuit Court against Hampton Inns Management LLC, doing business as Hampton Inn, and Sherri Caggiano alleging wrongful termination and other counts.

The plaintiff alleges that during his employment with Hampton, he was treated differently than white employees and was not allowed the same or favorable shifts, leave to care for another person or given assistance with completing documentation for leave. He alleges he was retaliated against for complaining about the treatment and was wrongfully terminated June 16, 2017.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by D. Adrian Hoosier II of Hoosier Law Firm PLLC in Charleston.
