Couple seeks refund of Chevrolet Camaro they allege has defects

State Court
Contract 06

CHARLESTON – A Boone County couple is suing General Motors over allegations the vehicle they purchased had warranty nonconformities and that they may be life threatening.

Larry Holstine and Sherry Holstine filed a suit against General Motors in Kanawha Circuit Court over alleged violations of state code.

The plaintiffs allege they purchased a 2018 Chevrolet Camaro on July 6, 2018, and the vehicle did not conform to the warranty and had many issues.

The couple claims the defendant failed to fix the vehicle after a reasonable number of attempts and that they were damaged by the loss of use of the vehicle.

The defendant did not provide the plaintiffs with a new vehicle that did conform to the warranties, according to the suit.

The plaintiffs are seeking compensatory damages, as well as revocation of acceptance of the vehicle with a refund of the purchase price. They are represented by Anthony M. Salvatore of Hewitt & Salvatore in Fayetteville.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Charles King.
