WINFIELD – A Putnam County woman is suing Winfield QuickStop after tripping and falling in its parking lot.
Alicha Shaw filed the lawsuit against Ganeshay LLC, doing business as Winfield QuickStop; Vishal Patel; and Robert T. Faber in Putnam Circuit Court alleging negligence.
Shaw alleges she was exiting Winfield QuickStop and walking toward her vehicle on June 15, 2017, when she tripped and fell because of the uneven concrete and sustained injuries to her leg, knee, ankle and foot. Shaw alleges the change in the concrete's level was unmarked.
Shaw is seeking compensatory damages and a trial by jury. She is represented by Michael L. Myers of Myers & Perfater in Charleston.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Joseph Reeder.
