PINEVILLE – A Roderfield man is suing a Pineville restaurant for injuries he sustained when he was at the business.

Ray Stillwell filed the lawsuit against Cornerstone Grill and Jacqueline Canada in Wyoming Circuit Court alleging negligence.

Stillwell alleges he went to the restroom of Cornerstone Grill on Feb. 13, and when he left the restroom, he tripped because of an unmarked step near the dining room and fell.

The plaintiff claims the defendants failed to train employees on warning the public of the dangerous condition and were negligent.

Stillwell is seeking compensatory and punitive damages. He is represented by Joshua R. Martin of The Martin Law Firm in Nitro.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Warren R. McGraw.
