MOUNDSVILLE — A woman is suing the City of Moundsville and an unknown, unnamed individual for alleged negligence after she was injured.

Francine Bartolovich claims she was getting out of a vehicle on July 6, 2017, when her foot became caught on a defective, dangerous and unrepaired street and she broke her ankle, according to a lawsuit filed in Marshall Circuit Court.

Bartolovich claims the street was in disrepair and caused her injuries. She alleges the defendant owed her a duty of reasonable care to ensure that the public roadways were free from nuisances or defective conditions.

Bartolovich is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. She is represented by Gerasimos Sklavounakis of Sklavounakis Law Offices in Wheeling.
