WINFIELD – A Putnam County man alleges the company that manufactured the door on his home has failed to repair a defect despite promises to do so.

Gregory T. Gordon filed a complaint in Putnam Circuit Court against Donatello Doors Corp. alleging breach of express warranty and negligence.

The suit states that the plaintiff purchased a Napoli double entry door from the defendant for the price of $4,915 in 2013. The plaintiff had the door installed on his new construction home in Hurricane. The plaintiff alleges he informed the defendant that the door did not work properly because it did not have an adjustable roller catch. He alleges the defendant has made a number of promises to remedy the situation but as of yet has failed to make good on those promises.

The plaintiff is seeking damages of less than $75,000, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Tony J. O'Dell of Tiano O'Dell PLLC in Charleston.

The case has been assigned to Judge Phillip Stowers.
