Milton woman files suit against driver over U.S. 60 collision

HUNTINGTON – A Milton woman who was injured in a vehicle accident is seeking damages from the driver who struck her vehicle.

Dona Chapman, as administratrix of the estate of Wesley Chapman, deceased, filed a complaint in Cabell Circuit Court against Jillian Claire Blake alleging negligence. 

Chapman and her husband were injured on Feb. 11 when Blake's Jeep Grand Cherokee collided into their car on Route 60 near Milton in Cabell County, according to the suit. Chapman alleges her head, neck, back, body and limbs were injured in the collision.

Chapman also alleges she is in a dispute over the coverage of medical payments and uninsured/underinsured coverage with her insurer, Allstate. 

Champan seeks a trial by jury, interest, a declaration of rights under the Allstate policy and other just relief. She is represented by R. Matthew Vital of The Vital & Vital Law Firm LC in Huntington.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Paul Farrell.
