Winfield woman files negligence suit against driver over collision injuries

CHARLESTON – A Winfield woman who was a passenger in a motor vehicle that was hit by another vehicle in Cross Lanes has filed suit against the driver she alleges is at fault. 

Rose Adams filed a complaint in Kanawha Circuit Court against Suvayan De alleging negligence. 

According to the suit, on Sept. 22, 2017, Adams was a passenger in a vehicle that was traveling on Route 622/Golf Mountain Road in Cross Lanes that was struck by a vehicle driven by De. She alleges De "recklessly, negligently and carelessly operated the vehicle he was driving, including but not limited to failing to obey a traffic control device." Adams alleges she suffered injuries to her neck, shoulder and back. 

Adams seeks monetary relief, trial by jury, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Robert Cline Jr., Robert Campbell and Jeffrey Jones of The Farmer, Cline & Campbell Law Firm PLLC in Charleston. 

The case has been assigned Circuit Judge Louis Bloom.
