Charleston dentist allegedly owes more than $48,000 for equipment

CHARLESTON – A business that leases and finances machinery and equipment is suing a Charleston dentist claiming he owes more than $45,000 for imaging equipment and software. 

Financial Pacific Leasing Inc. filed a complaint in Kanawha Circuit Court against Timothy M. Spears, DDS, Inc. and Timothy Spears alleging default of an equipment financing agreement. 

According to the complaint, Spears entered into an equipment financing agreement with the plaintiff on April 11, 2018, for X-ray imaging equipment. The agreement included 60 monthly installments of $969.58 and an administrative fee of $350, the suit states. Financial Pacific alleges Spears now owes $48,782.23.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of $48,782.23 and other just relief. Financial Leasing is represented by Joel Jones Jr. of The Campbell Woods Law Firm PLLC in Huntington.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Louis Bloom.
