PRINCETON — A Princeton man suffered a stroke and alleged a physician failed to diagnose him and sent him home.

Dr. Rickey Lee Bradley and Greenbrier Emergency Services — Bradley's employer — were both named as defendants in the suit.

Ronald L. Rasnick went to Princeton Community Hospital on March 16, 2018, with stroke-like symptoms, where Bradley evaluated him and ordered lab testing, a CT scan and an electrocardiogram, according to a complaint filed in Mercer Circuit Court.

Rasnick claims Bradley did not order a follow-up CT scan or an MRI study and, instead, diagnosed him with "right upper extremity numbness" and discharged him. Two days later, he went to Bluefield Regional Medical Center with the same symptoms and was diagnosed with a stroke and was transferred to Charleston Area Medical Center.

The plaintiff alleges that Bradley was negligent and that as his employer, Greenbrier Emergency Services was also negligent.

Rasnick is seeking compensatory and punitive damages. He is represented by Brian J. Headley and Jason S. Ballard of Headley Ballard.
