KINGWOOD – A Pennsylvania woman has filed a lawsuit against a Preston County store after she fell in the parking lot.

Diana Victor of Smithfield filed her complaint against Alyeska Inc. in Preston Circuit Court. Alyeska does business as Big Bear Lake Country Store.

According to her complaint, Victor was at the store Oct. 19, 2018, when she fell because of an unmarked and/or inconspicuous wheel stop in the parking lot. She blames the fall on the defendant’s negligent, careless and reckless conduct.

Victor says she sustained severe and disabling injuries, was forced to seek medical treatment, incurred medical expenses and will incur future pain, suffering, aggravation, inconvenience, loss of enjoyment of life and loss of the ability to function as well as past and future medical and other expenses.

She seeks compensatory damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, court costs and other relief.

She is being represented by Kevin M. Pearl of Frankovitch, Anetakis, Simon, Decapio & Pearl LLP in Weirton.
