CHARLESTON — A Nicholas County couple claims Trojan Landing Marine Inc. failed to properly winterize their boat and caused it to fall into disrepair.

Trevor Coffman and Elizabeth Coffman took their boat to the defendant in 2018 for winterization and repairs and again in 2019, however, after having the boat for several months, it still was not repaired, according to a complaint filed in Kanawha Circuit Court.

The Coffmans claim in July, they took the boat to another boating company to determine what repairs were needed and discovered it was never properly winterized.

The boating company was sued for breach of contract, fraud and breach of express and implied warranty.

The Coffmans had to pay more than $14,000 in damages to fix the boat.

The plaintiffs are seeking damages in the amount of $14,241.13 with pre- and post-judgment interest, as well as $30,000 for loss of use and enjoyment, aggravation and annoyance. They are represented by Henry E. Wood III of Wood Law Office.
