MOUNDSVILLE — A woman is suing Kia Motors America for the death of her husband.

Stephon Ragland and A&B Auto Sales were also named as defendants in the suit.

Billy Lee Decker was driving on W.Va. 2 in Marshall County when Ragland caused a head-on collision with the vehicle driven by Billy Lee Decker, according to a complaint filed in Marshall Circuit Court.

Ashlie Decker and her minor daughter, Caylee Decker, allege that Ragland failed to maintain control of his vehicle and Billy Decker died as a result of the accident.

Billy Decker's Kia Forte was not reasonably safe and was defective, according to the suit. A&B wrongly placed the vehicle into the stream of commerce and sold the defective product.

Ashlie Decker and Caylee Decker are seeking compensatory and punitive damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. They are represented by Ronald W. Zavolta, Paul J. Ratcliffe and Michael P. Zavolta of Zavolta Law Office.
