NEW CUMBERLAND — A man is suing Congo Corporation for injuries sustained from a work-related accident.

Chad Post filed the lawsuit against Congo Corporation; Robert Juszczak, who is doing business as Juszczak Construction; Juszczak Development Company; and an unknown, unnamed individual alleging that while he was working on Jan. 14, 2019, a hook on a crane owned by Juszczak did not have a safety latch, according to a complaint filed in Hancock Circuit Court.

Post claims he was working on a barge when the crain hook became entangled and caught his hand, pulling him up and causing severe damage to his hand. He claims the defendants were aware of the unsafe working conditions and failed to remedy them.

Post is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgement interest. He is represented by Daniel J. Guida of Guida Law Offices and Christopher M. Turak of Gold, Khourey & Turak.

Hancock Circuit Court case number: 21-C-3
