Steptoe & Johnson PLLC issued the following announcement on Apr. 8.

Steptoe & Johnson has named Isidore Okoro its new Chief Information Officer.  Okoro will lead the firm’s IT team and oversee all aspects of its technological infrastructure.  He will also spearhead efforts to ensure the firm has the most up-to-date systems in place to help meet client needs and protect vital electronic data.

“I am excited to welcome Isidore to Steptoe & Johnson.  He understands the evolving technology needs of a growing law firm from both the attorney and client perspective,” said firm CEO Christopher L. Slaughter.  “He is an effective leader who brings out the best in his teams, as well as a change agent who builds consensus among firm leadership to implement solutions.  I am looking forward to what Isidore will accomplish for Steptoe & Johnson.”

Okoro has more than two decades of experience leading technology efforts for professional services firms, including multi-national law firms.  He joins Steptoe & Johnson after serving as CIO for a Florida-based law firm where he oversaw all its technology initiatives, including the transition to a virtual environment at the onset of COVID-19.

Okoro also has experience overseeing Knowledge Management initiatives such as client-facing portal technologies, leading internal web services and business intelligence projects, and traditional technology hardware and software upgrades.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Western Governors University and is currently pursuing his master’s degree from WGU.  Okoro is a Certified Project Manager, Certified Scrum Master, Lean Six-Sigma Green Belt, and Legal Lean Sigma White Belt.
