CMH Homes sued over damaged manufactured home

WILLIAMSON — A Kermit woman says CMH Homes over a damaged manufactured home.

CMH Homes is doing business as Clayton Homes Louisa, Ky. CMH Manufacturing was also named as a defendant in the suit.

Greta May claims she contracted with CMH for a manufactured home on Jan. 24, 2020, and the home was delivered and installed on May 18, 2020, where the damages were apparent, according to the complaint filed in Mingo Circuit Court.

May claims the home was not properly installed in a manner that would permit the home to be utilized as intended and the defendants have refused to take responsibility to repair the damages caused to the home.

May alleges negligence, breach of contract, fraudulent inducement, revocation of acceptance, frustration, breach of warranties breach of duty, unfair or deceptive practices, among other claims.

May is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. She is represented by Greg K. Smith and Barry C. Marcum of the Law Office of Greg K. Smith in Williamson.
