WHEELING — A man is suing Wheeling Hospital and a surgeon after he claims his knee surgery was not properly performed.

Cameron E. McKim filed the lawsuit against the hospital and Dr. Stuart D. Anderson alleging that Anderson breached the standard of care, according to a complaint filed in Ohio Circuit Court.

McKim claims he went to Anderson's office on March 7, 2019, with left knee pain and instability and Anderson said he had ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) of his left knee. He was then scheduled for left knee ACL reconstruction.

Anderson performed the surgery on March 29, 2019, but McKim claims he failed to exercise the degree of care and skill and, instead, incorrectly placed the femoral tunnel during the procedure.

McKim is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. He is represented by Wray V. Voegelin of Cassidy, Cogan, Shapell & Voegelin; and Thomas Myers of Myers White.
