West Virginia Governor's Office issued the following announcement on Apr. 20.

In accordance with President Joe Biden’s proclamation, Gov. Jim Justice has issued a proclamation ordering that all United States and West Virginia flags on all State-owned facilities throughout all of West Virginia remain displayed at half-staff until the day of interment for former United States Vice President Walter Frederick Mondale, of Minnesota.

In accordance with a separate presidential proclamation last week, Gov. Justice had previously ordered all U.S. and State flags to be flown at half-staff until sunset on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. However, as a result of new proclamation, all U.S. and State flags are now to remain at half-staff until further notice.

Further information on the re-raising of flags will be forthcoming.
