CHARLESTON — A woman is suing Sunbridge Dunbar Health Care for failing to properly care for her family member.
Genesis Healthcare was also named as a defendant in the suit.
Marvin M. Mann was a resident of Sunbridge Dunbar Health Care LLC, which is doing business as Dunbar Center, beginning in December 2019, according to a complaint filed in Kanawha Circuit Court.
Wanda M. Mann claims Marvin Mann did not receive adequate supervision or safety devices to prevent him from suffering a poor quality of care and infection control. She claims the negligence of the defendants caused Marvin Mann to sustain pain and suffering.
The plaintiff alleges that the defendants also failed to keep the family informed about Marvin Mann's health status and medical condition, according to the suit.
Wanda Mann is seeking compensatory and punitive damages. She is represented by Jeff D. Stewart, Andrew L. Paternostro and S. Andrew Stonestreet of Stewart Bell.
The case is assigned to Circuit Judge Tera Salango.
