PRINCETON — A couple is suing CMH Homes for a damaged manufactured home they purchased.

Clayton Homes Tazewell, Va. was also named as a defendant in the suit.

Mark White and Joan White ordered a manufactured home from the defendants on March 20, 2020, and paid a $17,000 down payment for the home, according to a complaint filed in Mercer Circuit Court.

The Whites claim they entered into a contract and sales agreement for the home on July 7, 2020, and the home was delivered on July 23, 2020. They claim the home was damaged and the defendants failed to complete repairs and setup of the mobile home as outlined in the contract.

The plaintiffs provided the defendants with a list of items that needed to be repaired or completed several times, but the list has never been completed by the defendants and the Whites were forced to hire outside help to correct and complete the work.

The Whites are seeking compensatory and punitive damages. They are represented by John W. Feuchtenberger of Feuchtenberger & Barringer Legal Corporation.

The case is assigned to Circuit Judge Mark Wills.
