PRINCETON — A man is suing Princeton Health Care Center for his mother's injuries and death.

Garrett Wright filed the lawsuit on behalf of his mother, Madeline Wright, who died on Aug. 28, according to a complaint filed in Mercer Circuit Court.

Garrett Wright claims his mother was admitted to Princeton Health Care Center in February 2020, and while she was a resident there, she suffered from multiple falls, which caused her injuries, pain and suffering, and her eventual death.

The defendant failed to keep Madeline Wright and her family members fully informed of her health status and medical conditions and failed to provide sufficient staff to provide adequate and appropriate care.

Garrett Wright is seeking compensatory and punitive damages. He is represented by Jeff D. Stewart, Andrew L. Paternostro and S. Andrew Stonestreet of Stewart Bell in Charleston.

The case is assigned to Circuit Judge Derek Swope.
