NEW MARTINSVILLE — A man is suing Frontier Communications for injuries he sustained during a car accident.

Michael Lee Martin filed the lawsuit against Timothy J. Moore and Citizens Telecommunications Company, which is doing business as Frontier Communications of West Virginia for the car accident, which occurred on Dec. 16, 2020, in Wetzel County, according to a complaint filed in Wetzel Circuit Court.

Martin claims he was driving on W.Va. 20 while Moore was driving a Frontier service truck on the same road when Mooren lost control of the vehicle and struck Martin's vehicle head-on.

The plaintiff had to undergo surgical procedures due to his injuries, which included a large laceration on his head, fractured legs, a fractured hand, among other injuries. He also incurred significant medical debt and lost income as a result of the accident.

The defendants were negligent and caused Martin's injuries, according to the suit. Martin claims Moore was driving too fast and cross the double yellow center line and entered into his lane. He claims Moore did not adhere to local, state and federal traffic laws.

Martin is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. He is represented by Dino S. Colombo and Jon R. Godwin of Colombo Law in Morgantown.
