PINEVILLE — A couple is suing Ford Motor Company for a defective vehicle.

Don Hatfield and Dreama Godfrey purchased a 2019 Ford F-150 on Jan. 29, 2020, for the price of $41,172, according to a complaint filed in Wyoming Circuit Court.

Hatfield and Godfrey claim the following week, they took the vehicle to Freedom Ford Lincoln because the pre-collision assist light with automatic electric brake warning light came on. They took the vehicle again a month later for the light and again nine days later. The vehicle continues to have collision warning light problems, despite taking it in for repairs on at least three occasions.

The defendants failed to fix the vehicle or provide the plaintiffs with a comparable vehicle without defects, according to the suit.

The plaintiffs are seeking revocation of the vehicle or the purchase price of the vehicle. They are represented by David G. Thompson in Pineville.
