CHARLESTON — A woman is suing E&M Services alleging it and other companies damaged her property.

E&M Services is doing business as Developing Properties LLC.

Top Notch Kitchen and Stephanie Bowling, who is doing business as Generations Building & Remodeling, were also named as defendants in the suit.

Tanya Roberts suffered a fire that devastated her home and it was deemed a total loss and was demolished, so in June 2020, she contracted with the defendants to construct a new home, according to a complaint filed in Kanawha Circuit Court.

Roberts claims the defendants negligently performed their jobs and damaged her property and made it so that her residence could not be built upon it.

Roberts is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. She is represented by Robert H. Sweeny of Jenkins Fenstermaker in Huntington.

The case is assigned to Circuit Judge Tera Salango.
