CHARLESTON — A man is suing Union Carbide Corporation alleging he was terminated from his employment because of his age.

Tim O'Neal, Ana Marino, Toby Scholl and Chris Reese were also named as defendants in the suit.

Roger J. Stover was employed by Union Carbide for approximately 30 years until his termination on Nov. 2, 2020, according to a complaint filed in Kanawha Circuit Court.

Stover claims he was fired due to his age, which violated the West Virginia Human Rights Act.

O'Neal, Marino, Scholl and Reese aided, abetted, incited and/or compelled Union Carbide to engage in age discrimination in violation of the West Virginia Human Rights Act, according to the suit.

Stover is seeking compensatory and punitive damages with pre-judgment interest. He is represented by Paul L. Frampton of Atkinson & Polak in Charleston.

The case is assigned to Circuit Judge Joanna Tabit.
