PINEVILLE —A man is suing STAT EMS alleging it and one of its drivers caused him injuries in a car accident.

STAT Ambulance Inc. and Jeffrey Wayne Simmons were also named as defendants in the suit.

Brian Keith Miller was operating a 2011 Dodge 1500 truck on County Road 1 in Glen Fork when Simmons, who was operating a 2011 Ford Econoline Ambulance owned by STAT EMS and STAT Ambulance, struck his vehicle and caused him injuries and property damages, according to a complaint filed in Wyoming Circuit Court.

Miller claims Simmons was not operating the vehicle in a safe and proper manner and failed to obey state and federal laws and regulations.

The defendants are liable for the injuries and damages Miller suffered when Simmons injured him during the course of his employment, according to the suit.

Miller is seeking compensatory and punitive damages. He is represented by Stephen Farmer, Robert Campbell and Mary Beth Champan of Farmer Cline & Campbell.
