WINFIELD — A Putnam County man is suing Parkline Inc. for injuries he sustained during work.

David Clowser was employed as a roll former operator at Parkline's Eleanor facility and was working on Aug. 28, 2019, when the metal he was rolling got stuck and Clowser put his hands into the machine to fix it, according to a complaint filed in Putnam Circuit Court.

Clowser claims his left hand became stuck in the machine and his middle finger was completely amputated and his left index finger was degloved in the process. He claims Parkline violated and disregarded hazards and safety standards.

Clowser is seeking compensatory and punitive damages. He is represented by Raj A. Shah, R. Scott Long and John K. Cecil of Hendrickson & Long in Charleston.

In its response, Parkline asked for the lawsuit to be dismissed. It alleged that the plaintiff should not recover anything from the defendant. Parkline is represented by Edgar A. Poe Jr. Pullin Fowler Flanagan Brown & Poe in Charleston.
