HUNTINGTON — Two attorneys are suing Design Roofing LLC alleging fraudulent concealment, misrepresentation and negligence.
Design Roofing & Sheet Metal LLC, the successor to Design Roofing, was also named as a defendant in the suit.
Ancil Ramey and Hannah Ramey, Huntington attorneys, contracted with the defendants in June 2011 to install a new roof on their home, according to a complaint filed in Cabell Circuit Court.
The Rameys claim they experienced leaking issues in December 2011 and they contacted the defendants, who falsely represented that the leak was due to some caulking needed for flashing and that it was repaired.
The plaintiffs contacted the defendants multiple times between December 2011 and July 2020 about the rook leaking, but the roof continued to leak, according to the suit.
The Rameys are seeking compensatory damages. They are representing themselves.
The case is assigned to Circuit Judge Alfred E. Ferguson.
