Couple sues after concrete saw hits woman at warehouse

CLARKSBURG — A couple is suing Kaufman Realty & Auctions of West Virginia LLC alleging injuries while on its property.

Mary Wolfe and Robert Wolfe went to pick up items they had purchased for their farm from the defendant's online auction on June 27, 2019, that were marked and contained in a warehouse, according to a complaint initially filed in Harrison Circuit Court and later removed to U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia.

The Wolfes claim they arrived at the warehouse and were instructed to go into the storage area to get their items, but while Mary Wolfe was scanning the tags on the items that were on the floor, an employee of the defendant knocked over a 45-pound concrete saw, which fell and struck her in the head,

Mary Wolfe suffered injuries and Robert Wolfe suffered loss of consortium.

The Wolfes are seeking compensatory damages. They are represented by C. Michael Bee of Hill Peterson Carper Bee & Deitzler in Charleston and .

The case is assigned to Circuit Judge Irene Keeley.
