CHARLESTON — A couple is suing Nelson Tree Services for injuries from a work-related accident.
Abraham B. Harris and Appalachian Power Company were also named as defendants in the suit.
Larry Horn and Tracy Horn filed the lawsuit against the defendants injuries that were sustained on June 6, 2019, according to a complaint filed in Kanawha Circuit Court.
The Horns claims the defendants created unsafe job-related actions and behaviors, which caused Larry Horn's injuries.
Larry Horn was working on June 6, 2019, when a large heavy rock was kicked down the mountain toward him and struck him, knocking him down the mountain.
The Horns are seeking compensatory and punitive damages. They are represented by J. Ryan Stewart of Bailey Javins & Carter in Charleston.
The case is assigned to Circuit Judge Carrie Webster.
