Woman files slip-and-fall lawsuit against Walmart

WINFIELD – A woman has sued Walmart after she says she slipped and injured herself at the Hurricane location.

Lisa Frazier filed her complaint in Putnam Circuit Court against Walmart Stores East.

According to her complaint, Frazier was shopping at the Hurricane store June 28, 2019, when she fell on a slippery liquid on the floor. She says she sustained serious and permanent injuries to her arms, legs, neck and back.

She accuses the defendant of negligence and seeks compensatory damages for her physical injuries, mental anguish, emotional distress, past and future medical bills, past and future lost wages, pain and suffering, loss of ability to enjoy life, loss of ability to attend to normal and customary business and social affairs, loss of household services and other relief. She also seeks pre- and post-judgment interest, attorney fees and court costs.

Frazier is being represented by Connor Robertson of Weston Robertson in Hurricane.
